A Rite of Passage for Future Physicians On Friday, the Wildey Campus Auditorium was the venue of the White Coat Ceremony for the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ (AUB) School of Medicine. This commitment ceremony is when aspiring physicians formally pledge to enter the medical field.
A cohort of 57 students from over ten different countries—29 men and 28 women—transitioned from pre-medical studies to the medical program during the ceremony. Students recited the Hippocratic Oath while wearing white coats as a symbol of their progression.
Blessed Emediong Isemin (Nigeria), who got seven honors for outstanding academic achievement and seven Dean's List Awards, was the overall top-performing student. Aminreza Bagheri (Iran), another outstanding student recognized at the occasion, also got seven awards for Outstanding Academic Achievement.
