A request for withdrawal from the School of Medicine must be submitted in writing and addressed to the Dean of the School of Medicine. The date of withdrawal will be the day the Dean receives the hand-delivered request or the day on which the notice is received through mail or any other delivery system. Charges such as deposits, fees, printed material, etc. are neither pro-rated nor refunded.

A refund shall only be given where the cause of withdrawal is justified by reason of emergency. The refund shall be given within 90 days of the withdrawal. In the event of a withdrawal prior to matriculation, the university levies an administrative charge of $1,500 USD, which will be exclusive of any other fee.

Administrative charges are included in the tuition fee for students who complete the program. For students who withdraw, transfer, or are expelled before the completion of the program, administrative charges will be deducted from their refund amount. Official transcripts will not be issued until all outstanding dues have been cleared.

Refund Policy

The Refund Policy applies to students who have paid the complete tuition fee for the semester.

• Refund facility is not applicable for students who opt for tuition payment plan options and Transfer students who join the program in the middle of the course.
• Refund facility is also not applicable for students who pay the initial deposit to secure a seat for their admission.

Further, if a student on scholarship or grant leaves the institution before the completion of the MD program, he/she will no longer be eligible for the scholarship or grant and will have to deposit full fee for the duration of their study at AUB.

Tuition Refund

In case a continuing student leaves the School after the beginning of a semester the following tuition refund policy will apply:

• Refund applications received after 4 weeks from the date of leaving school will not be eligible for a refund.
• In case the attendance is of 2 weeks or less the refund will be 50%
• In case the attendance is of 3 weeks or less the refund will be 40%
• In case the attendance is of 4 weeks or less the refund will be 30%
• In case the attendance is more than 4 weeks then there will be No refund
